I did this card for the sketch challenge at the Paper Craft Crew.
I love working with sketches as it takes a lot of the preparation out of a card for me. When I look at a sketch I pretty much know what stamp set I want to use with it and what color combination I’m going to use.
In my mind when I look at a sketch and the elements of it I instantly can replace the elements with a particular stamp set and accessories.
So when I looked at the sketch for today’s card I knew it was going to be a wedding card and I knew which stamp set I wanted to use. The “Your Perfect Day” stamp set in my mind fit the sketch.
I also wanted to use the Stacked With Love Washi tape in particular the white with gold hearts. This is what helped me choose my color combination. Who doesn’t like White, Gold and Black. Gorgeous right?
After I stamped my cake I colored in the tops of each layer using the Gold Stampin’ Dazzle Marker (yup on the Retired list).
I also incorporated the Happy Heart Textured Impressions Embossing folder along the bottom edge of the card.
The little row of Gold flowers were made using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch pack.
I added a Pearl to the flower centers and done.
