A Card from a Friend

Tuesday, March 2, 2010

Today’s post is a card I received in the mail a few weeks ago from my friend France Martin.? I met France while I was on the Hawaii incentive trip last March which we earned thru Stampin’ Up!? France lives in Cheyenne, WY and we have been emailing back and forth since we met in Hawaii.? We just found out that we are next door neighbors on the cruise that we earned thru Stampin’ Up! and will be going on this coming April.? We are currently working on a class together.? ?So stay tuned for more information regarding this fun new class. 🙂

The technique that France used on her card is the Chalkboard technique.? You stamp your image(s) in White Craft ink and then color over the top with your chalks.? She used about 3 different colors of chalk on the hearts.? After this you can go in with the White Gel pen to add definition or highlight certain parts of your stamped image.? I have never done this technique and now seeing it in person I can’t wait to give it a try.

I wish you could see it in person, it is just beautiful.? I love getting cards in the mail, don’t you.? Why not make a card today and send it to a friend.

Thanks for stopping by,
Glenda
