Another Stampin’ Up! Catalog Case Happy Holly Days

Stampin' Up! Happy Holly Days

I like to find my inspiration right from the Stampin’ Up! catalogs. When I need to come up with a quick card I turn to the catalogs to help give me inspiration and ideas.   Today’s Happy Holly Days card sample is loosely based on a sample I saw in the mini catalog.  I just changed a couple of the color combinations and the designer series paper; but it has a similar layout.

I was drawn to this card because they did not color in the bird image just left it as a line art image.  I think the card is beautiful without all the coloring and is probably something I wouldn’t have done if I hadn’t seen this sample in the catalog.

The stamp set is the Stampin’ Up! Happy Holly Days stamp set which is sold in a bundle with the Holly punch.  I did use the punch on this card.  I punched out a piece of Mossy Meadow card stock and slipped a few of the holly leaves behind the sentiment.  I believe the sample in the catalog; they used gold foil paper to punch and add behind the sentiment.

I also used a different ribbon behind the sentiment; I’m not sure which ribbon they used in their sample but this worked for me.  It is the Real Red Ruffled Ribbon from the Stampin’ Up! catalog.  To finish off the card I added a few of the Real Red Rhinestones.  It turned out quite pretty I think.
