Chalkboard Technique

Saturday, May 29, 2010

Today’s post is an older technique which is called the Chalkboard technique.?? When you do this technique you want to use Black card stock, thus the chalkboard technique.?

Here is the card I showed the class in my last techie class:

To do this technique you need a solid image stamp and the Whisper White Craft ink.? Stamp your image using the Whisper White craft ink and then color over the image with your chalks and a sponge dauber.? There is no need to wait for the craft ink to dry in fact I think you get better results if you do not let it dry.? To remove the excess chalk use a soft makeup brush or a swifter dusting cloth.

Supplies used:
CS:? Black, Summer Sun (Retiring), Whisper White
Inks:? Whisper White, Black
SS:? Watercolor Trio #117050 Wood Mount or #120084 Clear mount, Inspired by Nature #111656
Accessories:? Crushed Curry Polka Dotted Ribbon, Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Chalks

Have a GREAT Holiday Weekend!
