Childhood Memories

Tuesday, October 14, 2014

Today’s card brings back memories from my childhood.  When I was little we had a silver Christmas tree.  We had a light that would shine on it and it turned with 4 different colored lights Red, Blue, Yellow and Green.  I could sit and watch the silver tree sparkle and twinkle with the different colors from the light reflecting off it for hours; it was beautiful.  I wish we had some pictures of it; but I do not recall any.

The only reason this memory even came about was because I had a customer who purchased my Festival of Trees stamp set of the month email me and say she couldn’t wait to get her kit.  She loved the colors but her favorite colors are purple and silver together.

This got me thinking of the silver Christmas tree and here is the card I came up with:

Smaller Tree using Tree Punch

I wish you could see this card in person it is just beautiful!  I love the way the Silver Glimmer Paper and the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper sparkle and twinkle.

Here’s a close up of the trees:

Did you notice the Dazzling Diamonds tree is smaller than the Silver Tree? This is a simple little tip and I showed you how I did it last week in a quick snapshot but today I have a quick little video showing you how it is done:
