Chocolates and a Gift Card Holder all in One!

Friday, March 9, 2012

I got asked on Monday if I would do a local craft show and it is March 17. Oh Yes, I’m well aware that it’s only just over a week away. I have a bunch of cards already made up to sell but needed some gift card holders and treat holders. Hmmm, let me pull some ideas out of my bag of tricks. 🙂

Before Christmas I had a blog post every Saturday called 12 weeks of Christmas projects. Each Saturday I had a video tutorial with a different card, gift card holder, or treat project to share. This was one of my creations:

This was a huge hit at Christmas so I thought it would be perfect for the craft sale.

This is a sweet little box, inside are 10 Hershey nuggets wrapped in DSP, outside you have the card on top with the gift card inside. SWEET!

These all say Happy Mother’s Day and I’m going to make some more up that say Happy Birthday. If you are in the Holland Michigan area on March 17 come and check out my booth at Westshore mall.

Now would you like to learn how to make these? Well here is the video tutorial that I made when I did the one for Christmas. It is the exact same just changed the colors and stamp sets.

Here are the dimensions to the card stock pieces:
Box 5″ X 7 1/4″ Score at 1/2″ and at 1 1/8″ on all sides
Box Band 5 1/8″ X 7 5/8″ Score at 5/8″ and at 3 1/2″ turn and do the same on other side
Card/Gift Card Holder on front 4 3/4″ X 7″ Score at 2 3/8″ and at 4 3/4″ on skinny side cut down to 2 1/2″ turn cut down to 2 1/2″ corner round corner.
Mat under Card/Gift Card Holder 2 1/2″ X 4 7/8″

Make sure to stop back tomorrow and see what the FREEBIE is for next week. For this week click on the picture in the right hand side bar.

Happy Stamping!
