Extended Hospital Stay

Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009

Well we have the rehabilitation centers all picked out, but it looks like it might be Wednesday or Thursday before my Mom will be released from the hospital.? Her kidney’s are still not functioning the way they should and are getting worse daily instead of better.? She also has sore?s in her mouth and throat and is having difficulty eating and swallowing because of it.? They have determined that it is Thrush and is on an antibiotic to help heal that.? She also is still having the hallucinations and the neurologist has determined that she has a hospital psychosis which will only get better with uninterrupted sleep, which is hard to get in a hospital.? They have given the nurses orders only to wake her every 4 hours instead of every hour to help her get some MUCH NEEDED rest.? They also said she needs to be watched 24/7, so that means my sister and I are taking turns spending the nights in the hospital and my dad stays the days.

I just dropped? Bill off at the airport he is on his way to New Jersey again for another week of training.? This training couldn’t have come at a worse time but we will get thru.? Luckily I have 2 older children who can get the little ones to bed and on the bus in the morning without difficulty.

Anyways thanks for stopping by and hopefully good news will come SOON!

Glenda, you have such a full plate right now but whenever I talk to you, you sound so positive! I am praying for your family, as well as, your mom and dad.
