Holiday Invitation

Today’s card kept changing as it was being made. I had to stop and go pick up the pizza’s for supper and when I was driving home I had an idea. Got home started working on my card again and then had to stop to take Dean to his friends house. On the way home from that trip I came up with another idea.

Sometimes taking a break and coming back gives you new inspiration and ideas this time twice the inspiration and ideas. I really like how it turned out. It is totally different than how I had it planned.

Today’s card was done for the Sketch Challenge with the Red Hot Stampers.

Here is the sketch:

When I looked at the sketch I knew I wanted to make the circle a moon or sun something along those lines.

I had the little ghost DSP from the Motley Monsters pack out on my table so decided to go with that and make it a Halloween card.

The Holiday Invitation stamp set provided my saying and the bat with moon image. I stamped the bats with moon image on Crushed Curry and punched it out with a 1 1/4″ Circle punch.

The tiny bats around the sentiment is from the Holiday Home stamp set.

The little banners under the sentiment were made using the banner punch.

The star border across the top was done using the Confetti Stars Punch and I matted a piece of Crushed Curry behind it.

I decided to give a few of my ghost in the DSP a little color so colored them with the Med. Daffodil Delight Blendabilities marker.

Here is the supply list:

Thanks again for stopping by and have a great day!
