Lovely As A Tree

Today is the sketch challenge at the Red Hot Stampers Blog.

Here is the sketch for this week:

Here is my take on the sketch:

When I looked at this sketch I didn’t want to do a Star so I thought any shape would work for the layout. My next step was to find a stamp set. I also wondered how I would incorporate the square image on top of my shape.

I decided I would do the spotlighting technique to get the square image on my shape.

When I decided on the Lovely As A Tree stamp set I also decided I would do the thumping technique.

Since I had the tree I decided to also do the brayered background technique to give the wood grain look.

So I ended up doing 3 different techniques on this one card; spotlighting, thumping and brayered background.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Another beautiful card made with my favorite stamp set. I hope Stempin Up never gets rid of this one. It never runs out of options. Thanks
