Lovely As A Tree

Today I have a card to show you that we will be doing at Julie’s workshop tomorrow.

Lovely As a Tree

Julie wanted everyone to make 4 cards and she requested that they be cards that could be for Christmas or other occasions.

I love the Lovely As A Tree #128655 $27.95 or #127793 $19.95 stamp set for Christmas cards but it also makes great cards for all occasions.

I chose to stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Express Yourself #130336 $15.00 Hostess Exclusive or #130339 $11.00 Hostess Exclusive stamp set.

The Designer Series Paper I used is from the Season of Style Designer Series Paper #132340 $10.95.

The tree is colored with Old Olive and Chocolate Chip markers.

The card stock colors are Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Whisper White and the DSP.

I used the Apothecary Accents dies #127003 $24.95 to cut out the tree and create the Cherry Cobbler matt.

I had a good customer email me asking how I created the Cherry Cobbler mat behind the Whisper White Apothecary Accents cut piece.
I took a picture so you can see:
Apothecary Mat
You cut the Whisper White and the Cherry Cobbler using the Apothecary Accents Die and then cut the Cherry Cobbler one as show; cut both “tips” off and then cut it in half; add adhesive to the backside of the Whisper White one and then attach the Cherry Cobber cut pieces out just a little to create the mat.

Thanks again for stopping by and have a great day!
