More Holiday Sneak Peaks

Wednesday, July 18, 2012

I have made it to Salt Lake City, UT for the Stampin’ Up! convention. Today is check in day so we will get to see our new convention bag and we get to go shopping at Momento Mall. I’ll post a picture tomorrow of our convention bag. 🙂

Today is the sketch challenge at the Stampin’ Queens and here is the sketch for this week:

While looking at this sketch I thought what could I use for those circles; it reminded me of a package with the ribbon going vertically and diagonally. So I started looking thru my stash of new toys from the upcoming Holiday catalog and the new Handmade Holiday Stitched Felt ornaments caught my attention.

Here is my take on the sketch:

I used the Be of Good Cheer DSP and got my color combination from the ornament and the DSP. The card stock colors are Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green and the Be of Good Cheer DSP as well as the Snow Festival DSP from the upcoming Holiday catalog. The Ribbon is from the new Holiday catalog as well and that is 7/8″ Cotton Natural Ribbon which is stampable. Pretty cool! I didn’t want it quite so wide so I cut the ribbon down in size. I stamped on it Merry, Merry, Merry from the new Border Banter stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink.

Need a close up of the ornament? Here you go:

Lots of fun new stuff!
Have a Great Day and Happy Stamping!
