If you wish to purchase the Online Techniques Class Bundle of Products or just the PDF file please click on the picture of the Techniques Album in the right hand side bar for all the details.

Today in the Online Techniques Class we will be doing Color Gradation. I saw this done a few years back and thought it was a cool technique. When the technique is finished it reminds me of variegated yarn because the color flows from one color to another color.

Here are the finished card samples using this technique:

On this card I used the Ornaments Keepsakes stamp set and the colors I chose were: Marina Mist, Pacific Point and Not Quite Navy. After stamping my ornament I cut it out using the coordinating Holiday Ornaments framelits die #129949 $49.95 or #129950 $42.95 Bundles and the Big Shot. The background was done with the Petals A Plenty impressions folder #116824 $7.95 and the Big Shot. The sentiment was from the More Merry Messages stamp set; punched with the Extra Large Oval punch #119859 $16.95 and attached to the die cut from the Lots of Tags Sizzlits #114508 $21.95.

Here is a close up of the Ornament:

This card was the one I put in my techniques album. This was done with the Wonderfall stamp set #128084 $24.95 or #128087 $17.95. The colors I used were Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Riding Hood Red. The leaves were cut from the Autumn Accents Bigz die #127812 $21.95 using the Big Shot. The card base is Riding Hood Red. I used the new Core’dinations Early Espresso card stock #127848 $6.95 and the new Woodgrain Impressions folder #127821 $7.95 to get the cool background; this was matted onto Crumb Cake card stock. The button to finish it off was from the new Naturals Designer Buttons #127554 $4.95. I tied the Cherry Cobbler bakers twine #123125 $2.95 thru the button on stuck it on my card front using a mini glue dot.
