Personal Update & Nature’s Harvest Products Class Available TODAY!

First off I want to tell you how much all of you have touched my heart with your kind words and sympathy expressed to me and my family on the passing of my dad.  I can not believe the outpouring of love and support that my family and I have felt over the past few days; words cannot express how comforting you have made me and my family feel.

Many of you only know me from this blog or facebook lives and YouTube lives; but you took the time to text, email or comment and let me know that we were in your thoughts and prayers.  Even though I know my dad is in a much better place and so happy that he is pain free and celebrating going home to heaven and being reunited with my mom it is still hard to let go.  It is much harder for those left behind that is for sure.

Also, I thought I would address a question that has come up.

In the picture that I posted of my dad last week it had my dad’s dog Buddy in the photo.  I’ve been asked what has become of Buddy since my dad’s passing?

Well, what happened was a total blessing!  God answered our prayers!  We were unsure what we were going to do with Buddy but then last week Tuesday night the 11 pm – 7am nighttime care giver had left a message in her notes regarding my dad’s care for the night and she mentioned that if upon the passing of my dad she would like to adopt Buddy.  When we read that in her notes we were so happy God had answered our prayers.  My dad passed Wednesday at 10PM and when the nighttime care giver came and found out my dad just passed and here is Buddy she was happy and we were happy and it was just meant to be.  She sent us a picture of her son (who is so excited to have Buddy) and Buddy and I just know that Buddy is living the dream!

Now for business news.  Yes, I am taking time to grieve and reminisce but it isn’t in my blood not to get back to work.  My dad and my mother as well have always been hard workers and I guess that has been instilled in me as I have instilled that in my kids as well.   When my mom and dad were first married they both worked full time in a factory and then ran and owned a root beer stand at night.  After they sold the root beer stand they bought a go cart track and ran that at night while still working in the factory during the day.  When my mom started having kids she did stay home with us and eventually went back to work at different jobs once all us kids were in school full time.  When you own your own business it is sometimes harder to get away because you can’t just leave it and think someone else will take care of it.  Besides running my Stampin’ Up! business I do the books for Bill’s 2 businesses.  With a business like mine if I stop writing blog post, creating cards and projects, making videos and such my sales go way down and my customer’s start purchasing from others.  This is a hard business to start up and get it going and it takes more work to keep it going.  I’ve worked so hard to get it to where it is at I can’t afford to take much time away.  I see this in my June and July sales have fallen WAY down because I took time for my surgery, recovering and then my dad’s health.  I do love to create and I have been doing different crafts my whole life so for me it is relaxing and it keeps my mind busy which some days is a very good thing.

So I’m here to remind you of my first Product Based Class featuring the New Nature’s Harvest Bundle from the New Mini Catalog which begins today!  It also features a FREE Sale-a-bration product which is the Be Dazzling Paper pack.

So sorry to hear about the passing of your Dad…it’s hard I know, as both my parents have passed as well. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, brought back a few memories for me, as my parents owned an A &W Root Beer place in Greenville, MI in the 60’s. Where was your parent’s place.? Hope you have fully recovered from your surgery and glad you are getting back into your SU things, missed you. Take care.

Hi Sharon, My mom owned the Root Beer stand in Hudsonville before they got married and they both ran it for a few years after they were married. I’ve seen pictures but it was before my time. I do remember the Go Cart Track; that was in Hudsonville as well along Chicago Drive. They sold that when I was very young. I’m much better now; had a few bumps in the process but all is good now, thanks. I appreciate you checking out my blog and leaving comments; that’s part of what keeps me going. 🙂
