Red Hot Stampers Sketch Challenge

Sunday, September 9, 2012

Today is the sketch challenge at the Red Hot Stampers Sketch Challenge Blog.

Here is the sketch for this week:

Here is my take on the sketch:

When I looked at the sketch for this week I knew I had to use the Tasteful Trim Bigz die #120893 $42.95. I really like this die for Scrapbooking but it is very nice on cards as well. I also thought the Paper Daisies #119243 $6.95 went perfectly with the Floral District DSP #126919 $10.95.

Here is a close up of the Paper Daisy:

I sponged the smaller daisy using the Tangerine Tango ink pad and the sponge dauber. I attached it to a larger White daisy and attached them all together with an InColor 3/8″ Designer Printed Brads #122940 $7.95. The last thing I did was to spray it with the Alcohol mixed with Chamgagne Mist Shimmer Paint #116806 $5.95 mixed in the spritzer bottle #126185 $2.95.

Stop by the Red Hot Stampers blog and get entered into a drawing for a chance at winning some Blog Candy. It is the 1 Year Anniversary of the Red Hot Stampers Sketch Challenge blog. We are giving away the Happy You stamp set and a spool of the 3/8″ Stitched Satin In Color Ribbon your color choice.

Remember to check back tomorrow to see my project that I demonstrated at Ronda Wade’s Mini Convention. Oh Yes, I was very nervous and my hands were shaking but I did it and it wasn’t too bad after the first time. I had to demonstrate it to 3 different groups, so the third time was much easier. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
Glenda

Great card. Love the fact that you colored the flowers and used the Tasteful trim die to create that wavy look. You rocked this one,
