Regarding Dahlias Wedding

Monday, May 5, 2014

Today’s Regarding Dahlias card is a spinoff from yesterday’s card.

I have been playing with the Regarding Dahlias stamp set trying different colors, layouts and techniques to come up with my swap card for the Stampin’ Up! Cruise.

I have finally settled on this card:
Regarding Dahlias Wedding

Yesterday’s card was also a gorgeous card but I had to hand cut the Dahlia and when you are making 26 cards that’s a lot of cutting.

For today’s card I used the Circles Collection Framelits and the Big Shot to cut out my embossed Dahlia (much easier).

I matted it onto a Starburst Framelit made using the Starburst Framelits dies and the Big Shot.

The Background is Very Vanilla which was run through the Big Shot inside the Fancy Fan embossing folder.

The “Congratulations” stamp is from the Retiring Hostess Set Express Yourself so I had to change that to a current stamp set so my swap card looks like this:
For the Newlyweds
The “For the Newlyweds” stamp is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

The Pearls were colored using a black sharpie marker and the ribbon is the Very Vanilla Seam Binding ribbon tied using the Double D Bow Maker.

If you want details on the Double D Bow Maker click on the picture in the right hand side bar (you may have to scroll down below the stamp set of the month kits).

This ends my showcase of the Regarding Dahlias stamp set; I hope you enjoyed all the different ideas and techniques I’ve shared.

You can purchase the Regarding Dahlias stamp set in the kit for this month. Just click on the picture in the right hand side bar.

If you would just like the PDF file with the instructions for all the cards all you need to do is place an Online Order with me this month and I’ll email it to you when you receive your order.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
