Simple Stamping and the His Grace Stamp Set create the perfect Easter card.  Today’s card is super simple to create and you might just have the stamp set on hand already.  The His Grace stamp set was a featured stamp set of mine in 2019 and was retired.  I paired it with the Cross of Hope dies and it has been a very popular grouping of cards this year.

Why show this retired stamp set?   I’m trying to show you how to use the items you have on hand to create simple yet beautiful cards combining them with new items as well.  Kind of like something borrowed, something blue, something old and something new.

The embossing folder I used on this card is the Basket Weave (something new) but you could substitute any other embossing folder and get just as nice results.

Card base and mat color is the Gorgeous Grape (something sorta blue) because that was what I had in my scrap basket.  Even though I colored the flower with the Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green blends; I used Gorgeous Grape card stock.

The Stitched Scallop Rectangle  piece was a left over piece I had from another card (something borrowed) I did a few week’s back; save all those die cuts you never know when you’ll want to use them.

I kept everything on the card nice and flat and didn’t pop anything up; since I’ve ran out of 70 cent stamps which is normally what you would need if you put any pearls, ribbon or popped up any items.  So with simple stamping I’m back to 55 cent stamps and cards.   Who said flat no embellishments or popping up items on the cards were boring or not pretty?  I think this turned out beautiful!

Here is the shopping list:

I added the Cross of Hope Dies to the list; just in case you would like them.

What a great gift to give to someone you know who is working to take care of other’s during this time.  This would also make a great Mother’s Day Gift or maybe a Thank You gift to Teachers who are still trying to teach online and can’t be with their students in person.  Let all the helpers know you are thinking of them and help to put a smile on their faces.

Stay Safe, Stay Healthy and God Bless!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
