Snowman Gift Card Holder and Card

Tuesday, November 29, 2011

Last night was my Card Club and we made different gift card holders. I love making different gift card holders just as much as giving them. This particular gift card holder is a card and a gift card holder all in one. It is nice when they are combined. So here is the card/gift card holder:

So where is the gift card holder?

If you guessed the snowman than you are correct. Would you like the directions? Well here you go:
Step 1 – Cut 2 White Top Note dies using the Big Shot.
Step 2 – 1 Black Top Note die using the Big Shot. Line the center point up at the ½” mark on the cutter and cut off. Run the ribbon around the front of the top note and secure the ends down on the backside. Using the crop-a-dile punch a hole thru the snowflake and the top note and secure in a Glimmer Brad.
Step 3 – Attach the black top note to one of the white top notes being careful to line it up perfectly.
Step 4 – Sponge Bashful Blue ink around the bottom edge of the white top note.
Step 5 – Punch out (2) ¾” circles and (4) ¼” circles out of the cut off piece of black top note die. Attach these pieces for your snowman’s eyes and mouth. Use a white gel pen to give your eyes a twinkle.
Step 6 – Punch a Pumpkin pie 5 petal flower and cut off 1 petal for the snowman’s nose. Attach to your snowman.
Step 7 – Using the sponge dauber and the Pretty in Pink ink give your snowman some rosy cheeks.
Step 8 – Run Sticky strip up the sides and across the bottom and secure the other white top note lining them up perfectly.
*Note* – If you want your gift card further down inside the snowman lay the gift card on top of the top note so you know how far down to apply the sticky strip.

The card base is Marina Mist card stock cut 5 1/2″ X 8 1/2″ folded in half to create the card. I then ran it thru the Big Shot in the Snow Burst textured Impressions folder; then the snowman is just stuck on the front of the card. Inside the card you can write a note.

Did you notice the Glimmer brad on the snowmans hat? Well that is part of the Online Extravaganza Sale going on until tomorrow! You can get the Brights, Basics and Subtles Glimmer brads all 3 packs for $10.40! Make sure to Use #129034 when ordering. You can order on my website HERE.
