Split Negative Technique In Color

For today's cards I thought I would change up the Split Negative technique with a bit of color. Now I'm addicting and want to try it out in a variety of different colors. Details are on my blog here: https://wp.me/p59VWq-bfp. #stampinup #thestampcamp #glendasblog #technique

Last night during my LIVE class I tried a color variation on the Split Negative technique.   Generally the Split Negative technique is done in Black and White like I showed in yesterday’s blog post.  As I was preparing for my live class I decided to change things up a bit and went with colors instead.

Last night I decided to go with the Purple Posy and Whisper White card stock and the ink I chose to use was the Gorgeous Grape.  I choose Gorgeous Grape instead of Highland Heather because I just so happen to have the Glitter Enamel Dots in the Gorgeous Grape.  The Glitter Enamel Dots are on the retired list so snatch them up NOW!

This was the pair I created just before going live when I decided to change it up from Black and White to Colors instead.   Pool Party and Whisper White card stock with this pair and Coastal Cabana Ink.  Again, I got to use the Glitter Enamel Dots on these cards as well.

I’m becoming addicted to this technique and want to try it out in all different colors.

As soon as I can order the New In Color Ink Pads; I’m going to try it in all the New In Colors.   I think this will be the first set of cards my In Color Club members will get getting.  Speaking of the In Color Club, I’m still looking for 1 more Club Member to fill it; would you help me out?

Here is the video from last night:

Remember the Magnolia Blooms stamp set is NOT going to be in the New Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.  It will no longer be available to order after June 2nd!  It coordinates beautifully with the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and I think completes the set.

I’m like you and like the color examples instead of the black and white one. This will be a different class project whenever we will be able to have classes in person again. I’m hoping soon. Thank you for reminding me of this technique.
