Stampin’ Up! Favorite Lovely As a Tree

Sunday, December 16, 2012

Today is the sketch challenge the Red Hot Stampers Sketch Challenge.

Here is the sketch for this week:

Here is my take on the sketch:

As I looked at the sketch I thought about one of my favorite Stampin’ Up! stamp sets “Lovely As A Tree“. This set has been around for a long time and is one of my go to sets. This set is great for Christmas cards, Masculine cards, thinking of you cards, fall cards really you can use this set for so many cards it fits every occasion.

The New Oval Framelits is in the upcoming Spring Catalog and I can’t wait for you to see it! You should have it in your mailboxes soon! Ordering from this new awesome catalog begins on January 3, 2013.

Here is a close up of the sparkly tree and sentiment:

I stamped the tree and the sentiment in Always Artichoke on Very Vanilla card stock and then smooshed the VersaMark ink pad over the entire piece of card stock and then put the Iridscent Ice embossing powder on and heat set it. This is the Diamond Dust technique and here is the video I did a while back on this technique:

Head on over to the Red Hot Stampers blog and see what the other Red Hot’s did with this sketch. Also don’t forget to play along with our sketches this month and receive a little something in the mail from us for playing along. All the details are on the blog.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
Glenda
