Stampin’ Up! Great Sport

Saturday, March 23, 2014

It seems like Dean has been invited to a lot of Birthday parties lately. What type of card do you make for 12 – 17 year old boys that fits those teenage years?

This has been a struggle for me but I’m sure for a lot of you as well. There just aren’t many options.

As I was looking through the Stampin’ Up! catalog I came across the Great Sport #132010 $26.95 or #124307 $18.95 stamp set. I decided I would use this set to make Dean’s Birthday cards.

Stampin' Up! Great Sport

I paired the stamp set with the new Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die #132965 $24.95.

The “Happy Birthday” that fits inside the banner is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and cut out using the Bitty Banner Framelits Dies #129267 $14.95.

Scoccer Ball Great Sport

I did fill in some of the hexagon spaces with some white hexagon’s to make it more of a soccer ball look. I did this by running a piece of black and white card stock through the big shot using the Hexagon Hive Thinlits die.

*Tip – Place your card stock on the magnetic platform, then a piece of Wax Paper then your Thinlits die. This helps so your image pops right out no problems.

*Hint: You might be seeing this set as my next Stamp Set of the Month 🙂 just saying.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!
