Stampin’ Up! Make A Cake

Tuesday, August 7, 2012

Today is my oldest son’s 24th birthday. Wow am I getting old! Where does the time go? I’ll have to fill you in tomorrow on the activities of today and maybe a picture or two. 🙂

Today’s card is a birthday card but not one I would give my son. The sketch I used for my card today was for the Try Stampin’ On Tuesday sketch challenges.

Here is the sketch for this week:

Since I spent the day yesterday with my younger 3 kids at Michigan Adventure (amusement park) and we got home late I didn’t really have much time to stamp for today. When I looked at the sketch I thought about the Birthday cake from the Make a Cake stamp set. I then decided I would look at the coordinating DSP to see if I could come up with the background papers and color combination. Well I found the perfect sheet of DSP for this card I think it matches the sketch perfectly. The color combination was very easy and the card came together very quickly.

Here is my take on the sketch:

The ink colors are Midnight Muse and Regal Rose. The stamp set is Make a Cake and Itty Bitty Banners. The DSP is the Patio Party #126916 $10.95.

I love it when a card comes together quickly and I can get to bed by midnight. 🙂

Have a Great Day and Happy Stamping!
