Stampin’ Up! Regional Seminar Lansing MI

Saturday, November 10, 2012

Today I’m attending the Stampin’ Up! Regional in Lansing MI with a few of my downline girls. We spent the night last night at my cottage and today we are all attending the regional. We had a very fun night of stamping. We did a shoebox swap. What is a shoebox swap? Well each person made up a card and brought along all the supplies to recreate that card; so everything needed to make that card is in a shoebox (or basket) plus all the card stock is cut and ready to assemble. I’ll be posting more pictures and the cards made in the shoebox swap this week.

Part of attending a Stampin’ Up! regional, convention or leadership with me is that you receive pillow gifts. Who doesn’t enjoy getting gifts right? Well each one of my girls received a Thirty-one tote bag so they could tote their swaps to the regional. I’ll post a pic this week of the bags.

So they could determine who’s bag was who’s I made them each a tag with their first initial on it and a little Red Hat because my group is call the Red Hot Stampers. 🙂 Here is one of the name tags:

Isn’t it cute? I used the Polka Dot Parade DSP #126902 $10.95 on all my gifts. For this tag I glued the DSP to a piece of card board and then cut it out using the Big Shot and the Labels Collection Framelits #125598 $26.95. The little silver frame is from the Holiday catalog pg. 8 it is the Flourish Designer Frames #127835 $5.95 (you may have missed these beauties). The initials are from the Lovely Letters Alphabet set #115030 $43.95 or #127796 $31.95. The little hat is from the Stylin’ Snowfolk #126285 $30.95 or #126287 $22.95. The little button is from the Bright Designer Buttons #119747 $8.95 topped off with a Rhinestone Jewel. The ribbon is the Riding Hood Red Taffeta #122988 $6.95.

Now when you go to a Stampin’ Up! event you want to take a lot of Notes so I made them all a little notebook to remember the day and write all their notes in.

I also couldn’t resists creating this fun little treat:

This little “Red Hat” filled with “Red Hots” (remember we are the Red Hot Stampers) was made using the Floral Frames Framelits #127012 $26.95. The Red Hots are in the Circle Treat Cups #116802 $2.95. I also used the Perfect Polka Dots impressions folder on the main Hat portion. I used the 1 3/4″ circle and the 2 3/8″ Scallop Circle to make the little ring part around the treat cup. The ribbon is the Elegant Eggplant Scallop dots Ribbon #124143 $7.95.

Here is a picture of all the little gifts minus the bags:

As you are reading this I know we are having a blast and learning a lot and taking tons of notes and pictures. I’ll be sharing all of this with you soon.
