Now for Today’s Post:
Today is the sketch challenge at Try Stampin’ On Tuesday.

Here is the sketch for this week:
TSOT7

Here is my take on the sketch:
Timeless Talk

I really like how this card turned out. The Natural Composition Specialty paper #126917 $12.95 is so pretty when you sponge or brayer over it. This paper has an embossed image in it so it will resist the ink when you apply it to the embossed image. I masked a strip of the musical notes with post it notes and then sponged it with Early Espresso ink. I did this to create the little swirl border down the side like on the sketch. I know it doesn’t swirl but I think it gives the same effect.

I kept my colors neutral which gives it a masculine feel. The Natural Trim #129287 $6.95 went perfect with the sketch and the feel of the card. The Natural Designer Buttons #127554 $4.95 fit perfectly with the trim.

The New Timeless Talk stamp set #126605 $22.95 or 126607 $16.95 gave the vintage masculine feel to the card that I was going for.

I think a very nice masculine card.

I almost commented on the next previous post on accident. I couldn’t find where to comment then I had the wrong one–geez–I need a nap. Anyway, great card! I love your idea to add the ink to the side to represent the swirls. This card would be great for anyone, male or female. Awesome job.
