Stamping Techniques With The Stampin’ Up! Amazing Silhouettes

stamping techniques stampin' up!

I’ve created a fun new technique with the Stampin’ Up! Amazing Silhouettes stamp set. I’m calling it The Reverse Thumping Technique. I love the look you get with this technique and better yet you can create a card for every season! I also think these would be beautiful framed.   I love to come up with new stamping techniques and I think this one is a hit! Are you ready to give it a try?

Now that you have watched the video let’s take a closer look at these beautiful cards:

First up is Spring!  I love the look of this technique as it makes it look like blossoms on the tree.  I used 3 different Blends to create this look.  They are the Petal Pink, Calypso Coral and Flirty Flamingo.   I used the Scalloped Contours dies on all the samples and just changed up the color of card stock to coordinate with the trees.  Each card has the Soft Suede card stock which is embossed with the Bark 3D embossing folder.

At first I thought the Summer card would be a bit boring seeings how the trees are green; but I was mistaken.  I used the Granny Apple Green Blends on this tree and stamped the tree from the Amazing Silhouette stamp set in Night of Navy.  The sentiment on this card and the remaining two to follow is from the Many Messages stamp set.  I love this set as you will have a nice pile of sentiments on hand to use on so many different cards.

Of course Fall is full of colorful bright leaves.  The Blends I used on this card are: Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red.  The Amazing Silhouette tree was stamped with Soft Suede ink.  I also colored the tree trunks for all the cards with the Soft Suede Blends.   On this card I used the Brushed Metallic Dots and the sentiment is from the Many Messages stamp set.

Now for Winter!  I didn’t feel like I needed to add any color.  With the Night of Navy ink and the tree trunk colored in I thought it looked like the Winter scene I was going for.  I think the Night of Navy and the Soft Suede are beautiful together and makes a great sympathy card or masculine card as well.

I feel if you leave off the sentiments and just framed these beautiful cards they would make an awesome grouping on your wall.

    Thanks France,
Yes, once I got started I couldn’t stop; so pretty. They are much prettier in person. I took them to the coffee shop with me on Wednesday when I met with some of my team members and they said the same thing. I wish I could capture it in photos; maybe I’ll have to take a class.

I love these cards I was debating with myself as to whether I needed the stamp set — well you convinced me—I do
