Sale-a-bration driving by

Each week I have been spotlighting a Free Sale-a-bration product on my blog and this week it is the Driving By stamp set. This set is Free with a min. $50.00 order. This is a great set for the teens in your life.   When I look at this card I think it is a great sweet sixteen birthday card.  Think of those teens just getting their drivers license.  They have the wind in their hair and they are ready to get out there and go!

Now this is a card my youngest son Dean would LOVE to receive!  Well yes, he would like the card; BUT, he would LOVE to have that Volkswagen Van!  Since he was little he has always said he wanted to get one of these old vans.  Dean is my youngest and he has a very old soul.  He has always loved everything 50’s, from the music, clothes right down to the cars.  He has had a mustang, mercury monarch and now a 42 DeSoto.

I love the saying on this card as well; because, Yes, Dean has got style!  I’m sure the teachers in high school all thought he was the Fonz!  Everyday he wore jeans, a white T-shirt and a leather coat.

Some of you may also know Dean as my Cameraman.  Yes, back in the day Dean helped me quite a bit in my Stampin’ Up! business.  He would help me prepare for classes, he was my cameraman and he also makes the Bow Makers.

You may also remember this video that my husband and son’s did for me Mother’s Day 2014!  We have always stressed to our kids that handmade gifts mean the most.  For Christmas we told them to create their gifts for each other and us.  They would come up with coupons to give each other.  The older two kids would make coupons to take the younger two sledding or a movie etc.  They did not always redeem their coupons but it was the thought that counted.  I would get videos like this or coupons for cleaning or cooking etc.  You better believe I redeemed my coupons. 🙂

Wow, Where does the time go?  I just rewatched this video and totally forgot that Dean made me a Side Easel card; you can tell he was my cameraman and watched what I was doing.  hahaha.  I also seen a lot of splicing going on in the video; not sure how long they were in my room video taping.

Neil is our middle son and he is now married and just returned to Michigan after serving in the Marine’s.  Dean has also moved away from home and works with cars of course.  We are now empty nesters and have two granddaughters.  My parents would always say time goes by so fast and we would be like, Oh sure; but now I know what they were talking about.
