Today’s Technique Painters Tape Backgrounds

Have you ever tried the Painters Tape Technique for creating a scenic background? This was the first time I gave it a try and I really like how they turned out. After creating my background I pulled out my Campology stamp set and stamped that over the top. Pretty Cool technique! #stampinup #thestampcamp #technique

Join me tonight at 7:30PM EST on my Facebook page or YouTube Channel “The Stamp Camp” and I’ll show you how this technique is done.

This was my first take on the technique and I liked the greens and blues mixed on this card.   I started at the bottom with the Stampin’ Up! Granny Apple Green, Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party, Coastal Cabana and ended at the top with Bermuda Bay.  Yes, this is a pretty basic card with lots of layers but I kept them all flat for mailing.

These cards really could be for many different occasions but I have some masculine birthday’s coming up so I thought this would work great for those.

This one is a bit more stepped up than the last card because I embossed the Pear Pizzazz piece with the Stampin’ Up! Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder and I also used the Stampin’ Up! Classic Label Punch for the sentiment.

On this card the colors that I used on this background technique are: Stampin’ Up! Granny Apple Green, Pear Pizzazz, Bermuda Bay, Pretty Peacock and Night of Navy.

The sentiment on these cards is from the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set.
