Valentine Treats!

Saturday, January 25, 2014

Today was my Mother/Child Valentine class; but Michigan weather has a different plan for me today. I had to cancel my class because the weather is just too bad here.

I told those who were coming that I would post the projects that were to be made today so that they could still purchase whatever they needed and have time to create with their child(ren) before Valentine’s day.

Valentine Class

These are all the projects that they would have made today.

I like to keep the projects simple and easy for little ones to make. The ages I had coming were from 3 – 12 years old.

The licorice is in a individually packaged container and all I did was punch out Two Red Hearts and stuck them back to back with glue dots. Add the Happy Valentine’ Day sentiment punched out with the Word Window punch and add a few small hearts and you are done. On the back heart use the Chalk marker to write the To: From: information.

This next treat holder held a sucker and was made with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch #133324 $22.95.

Keep the stamping simple. On this sample they stamp the Happy Heart Day from Carry Over Tags 4 You stamp set #131820 $19.95 or #131823 $15.95. Punch out the tag using the coordinating Label Bracket Punch #132153 $15.95.

Mat the tag on a Decorative Label punched piece #120907 $16.95.

Add some bling by punching out a small heart #117193 $5.95 from Silver Glimmer card stock.

Tie up the top with some ribbon.

So cute and so easy the Monster Hugs Boy & Girl kit #132162 $5.95 Boys Or #132163 $5.95 Girls. All little ones have to do is attach the eye, attach the nuggets, close the hands up and attach the little heart. Easy! Easy!

On the backside of the Hugs Monster is a spot to write your To: From: information.

This next treat holder is the Sweetheart Treat Bags #134610 $4.95. You get 12 red heart bags, 12 die-cut labels and 12 pieces of pool party baker’s twine.

Simply fill the bag with candy and fold the top over. Wrap the Baker’s Twine around and attach the tag. I added the Red Heart with the Happy Valentine’s Day stamped and punch out with the word window punch. Add a little pink heart and finish it off with a rhinestone jewel. You can write the To: From: info on the Pool Party Tag.
