Video Tutorial on Briefcase Tote

Friday, June 4, 2010

New UPDATE😕 The 2 Free Briefcase tote with matching card kits are gone, but if you place an order on my Stampin’ Up! website you will still receive the Detailed DVD for FREE.? Thanks for Stopping by!

UPDATE😕 I’ve had a few ask for bigger dimensions for the box portion which holds the cards.? I do have a bigger box size that will hold 6 cards and envelopes nicely.? This is on the DVD but I’ll give you the dimensions so you don’t have to rethink it.??To get this size you need to cut your card stock 8 1/2″ X 9 7/8? score at 1 3/8? and at 7 1/8″ down the long sides (the 8 1/2″ side should be across the top of your cutter)and score at 4 ?? and 5 5/8? with the 9 7/8? side across the top of your cutter.?

I have a very choppy video tutorial on the Briefcase tote.? We were going on 20 minutes and I still hadn’t gotten to the cards yet, so I had to CUT a lot out to get it below 10 minutes.? You will get the idea of how the tote is assembled and what you need etc. from the video.? The cards are just briefly shown and not much detail.?

If you make a purchase on my Stampin’ Up! website you can get?a more detailed?DVD sent to you or if you want it right away you can download?the DVD image and burn your own.??? This DVD will have more detailed instructions for cutting the card stock and assembling the cards.? This DVD will be available on Monday, June 7.

Please see this post here for a list of items needed to complete the whole Briefcase Tote and Cards Collection.? Also, I’m giving away 2 Briefcase Totes with Cards Kit, see the same post above for all the details.

I do have a little correction for this Video.? On the Rose Red pocket I gave the wrong scoring line instructions on the long sides.? You need to score the long way at 1/4″, 1/2″ and at 4 3/4″ and 5″, when making these score lines the 5 1/4″ side should be at the top of your cutter.? You will cut away the sides as shown up to the 3″ mark.? The DVD I will be sending out to those who place orders will have more details on this piece.

As I said I’m sorry the video tutorial is choppy, there is a lot of detail to get in the video in less than 10 minutes.

I made this little briefcase for my youngest sons teacher for the last day of school.? All the cards are thank you cards, which I know come in handy for teachers.

Enjoy your Weekend!

Have you ever made a photo briefcase, with just the chip board as the front & back, and then added photo somehow in the middle? I would like to do something like this for all my son’s wedding photo’s that was take on a cruise back in 2000. I haven’t been able to figure one out yet. Hope you can help. Barb R.-NY
