Want to know how to create the easiest shaker cards ever?  These cards feature the Whale of a Time Designer Series Papers; so cool.

I created these cards for my daughter-in-laws birthday; which is tomorrow.  I couldn’t stop at just 1!  They are so fun and turned out so cool.  Kim loves everything about the ocean and the sea life.  Her favorite is the manatees but since the Designer Paper didn’t have those I think she will love the sea turtles as well.  I have lots of left over prints from the Whale of a Time Designer Series Paper pack and I think they will make awesome scrap book pages for all the Discovery Cove pictures she has.

I hand cut the sea turtles from one of the sheets of the Whale of a Time Designer Series Paper and then glued them to another piece of Designer Paper.  To make sure that the sequins didn’t stick around the turtles I did the Inlaid Technique; which almost embeds the turtles into the paper.  I used the Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder to do this technique.  I like the look of the texture it adds to the background as well.

The Woven Threads Sequins were perfect for these shaker card as they are pinks and pretty peacock colors.  The Whale of a time sequins would be beautiful as well but I didn’t have them.

Join me tonight at 7:30PM EST on my YouTube Channel to see how this quick and easy shaker card is created.
