Watercolor Wash Technique and Video

Sunday, May 30, 2010

Today’s post is a new technique to me and I love it.? It is so quick and easy and creates the perfect background for those scenic type stamps.? Here is the finished card and the Video will show you the technique:

In the video I said the stamp set I used was the Tropical Island, that is incorrect it is called Tropical Party #118515 wood mount and #120081 clear mount.

Here are the dimensions for the card I made using this Watercolor Wash Technique:
Chocolate Chip 5 1/2″ X 8 1/2″ folded in half to create your card
Old Olive 3 7/8″ X 5 1/8″
Close to Cocoa 3 3/4″ X 5″ use the Square Lattice Impressions Folder and the Big Shot to add the texture to this piece
Shimmer White card stock 2 3/4″ X 3 1/4″
Chocolate Chip 2 7/8″ X 3 3/8″
Old Olive strip 1/2″ X 3 7/8″

Additional supplies:? Word Window Punch, Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, Big Shot, Square Lattice Impressions folder, Antique Brass Jumbo Eyelets, Crop-A-Dile, Aquapainter, Watercolor Crayons, Old Olive Marker, Chocolate Chip Marker, and Tropical Party stamp set.

Have a Great Day!

Love this video. I am going to do this scene at my next workshop, but use the motorcycle. I have already done one, but needs a little fix here and there. Thanks so much for sharing.
