Welcome Baby in Lovely Lipstick

The Better Together stamp set has many different occasion sentiments and little stamps to coordinate with the sentiment. This set is retiring soon! Details on my blog: www.thestampcamp.com #baby #stampinup #thestampcamp #handmadecards

We will soon be welcoming a New Baby Granddaughter into our family.   Nikki is having a girl and what better color to create a congratulations girl card than with than the Lovely Lipstick.  I love the bright pink and white together.

The Better Together stamp set has some great sentiments and stamps in the set.  It’s nice when you have sentiments and images that coordinate with the sentiments in the same stamp set.  For instance the Baby Pin pairs great with the Congratulations on Your New Arrival Sentiment.

The baby pins were stamped with the Lovely Lipstick ink and stamped on Whisper White card stock.  Punch out your baby pins and mat them on some Lovely Lipstick scallop circles; then just pop them up on your card front using dimensionals.  By staggering the direction of the pins you add some interest to the card front.

Notice the Whisper White card stock was embossed using the Soon to Be Retired Sequins Embossing Folder.  The retiring items will be gone for good after June 3rd; so place your order for your favorites soon!

Punching out your sentiments and popping them up on your card front gives your card some added dimension.  I used the Everyday Label punch to punch out the sentiment.

To finish off the card I added some Pearls to the sentiment.

Some other color combinations that would make great baby cards would be Granny Apple Green card stock, Balmy Blue card stock, So Saffron card stock or Daffodil Delight card stock all with White.

Measurements

  • Lovely Lipstick card stock 5 1/2″ X 8 1/2″
  • Whisper White card stock 4″ X 5 1/4″
  • Lovely Lipstick card stock 3/4″ X 5 1/4″
  • Whisper White card stock 4″ X 5 1/4″

Second Whisper White piece of card stock is for the inside of your card.  I like to add a piece of Whisper White or Very Vanilla card stock inside depending on which color I used on the front of my card.  This gives a nice place to either write or stamp your inside sentiment or greeting.
