Whimsical Trees Bundle with Picture This Dies

Whimsical Trees Bundle

Today I’ve paired the Picture This Dies with the Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper and the Whimsical Trees Bundle.  Wow, that’s a lot of pairing but, that’s the fun part about stamping; being able to mix and match your supplies.  You never know what you can come up with.

This card all started because I found this Basic White piece that I had die cut using the Picture This dies and decided not to use it.   As I was cleaning off my stamping table I came across it.  Hmmm I think it was time to use it.  The center section was screaming for a sentiment and the other 2 sections were needing some Designer Paper.  So I pulled out the Painted Christmas Paper and then came the Whimsical Trees Bundle.  The rest they say is history.

I added a few of the Real Red Rhinestones to the tree and around the sentiment.  These went perfectly with the Real Red Berries from the printed paper.  Sometimes we got stuck in the idea that we have to use the bundles or product suites exclusively and we never venture outside of the suite of products they show in the catalogs.  It’s time to venture out and mix and match your supplies and see what you come up with.  You might just surprise yourself with the results!  Don’t get me wrong I LOVE the Whimsy and Wonder Designer Series Paper that is shown in the mini catalog but I wanted to switch it up a bit.

Love the look of this card! How did you get two different colored card stock pieces for the die cut tree???? I love the look, but have a hard time trying to figure out how to make it.

  2. Glenda says:

Thanks Kathy, I cut the tree die twice. Once in Evening Evergreen and once in Soft Sea Foam. I then just placed the opposite color punched out pieces inside the other tree die cut. Placing dimensionals on the backside holding all the pieces in place. Happy Stamping!
