Are You Ready To Start Creating Some Handmade Christmas Cards

christmas cards

I know it is early and the weather has been beautiful and probably the last thing on your mind is creating Christmas cards. Well, I say it is never too early.  Don’t get me wrong I am loving the summer weather and I’m really not looking forward to winter or the winter temperatures, but if you need a pile of holiday cards it’s never too early to get started.  I guess seeing this gorgeous Sophisticated Sled Bundle in the online exclusives products this month; got me thinking of the holidays ahead.

I do not have this bundle yet; but my good friend Donne, brought all the supplies to create this card to our last coffee get together.    Now, I didn’t add the sentiment to my card, this way I can determine what occasion I want to use it for.  You probably are thinking well, it is clearly a Christmas card, and I say, maybe not.  I could see this card being used for a winter wedding, birthday or even a skating party.

You may notice that wooden sled looks like real wood and that is because we used the Country Woods Designer Series Paper to die cut the sled from.  That is the perfect paper pack for giving that authentic wooden sled appearance.

Look at the detail on those skates, the bundle has the dies to create those shoelaces and use the foil paper to create the silver blades; talk about attention to details.   The sled rails and the greenery swag with the red bow all tie this beautiful handmade card into a beautiful work of art.  That is one of the things I love about die cuts is the realistic look you can get with the intricate die pieces.

That snowflake sky 3D embossing folder is the perfect background for this beautiful Christmas card or for any occasion you would like it for.

    Glenda,
I always look forward to you emails and the ideas you share. I always appreciate it when you give the instructions for your cards. I don’t order from you as I am a Stampin Up demonstrator too. I don’t sell on line at all. I have a few friends who order from me and so far, it has helped me retain the demonstrator status. I just wanted you to know that I really appreciate you.

I start making Christmas Cards either July or August. Loving your 12×12 packages. I find myself searching your blog for 1 sheet wonders videos.
Thank you so much for switching to the 12×12 paper in the at home card of the month club.
