Another Dollar Store Find!

December 12, 2008

Okay, I told you on Wednesday that I went to the Dollar store looking to find some jars, which I did and here is what I did with the jars.

Aren’t these the cutest jars?? I bought all they had and I wish they had more.? I used the Christmas rub-ons that I had on hand (Season of Cheer and Old Saint Nick both from the?Holiday Mini)?and decorated up the jars, next I filled them with M & M’s and typed up the M & M Christmas story; printed it out and made it into a tag, wrapped the jars with the Real Red Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and tied on my tag with the natural hemp twine.

The M & M’s Christmas Story????????????????????????
by Pam Ridenour

As you hold these candies in your hand,
and turn them, you will see…
The M becomes a W, an E, and then a 3.
They tell the
Christmas story. It’s one I’m sure you know.
It took place in a stable a long, long, time ago.
The
E is for the East, where the star shone so bright.
The
M is for the Manger, where Baby Jesus slept that night.
The
3 is for the wise men, who came bearing gifts.
W is for Worship. Hallelujah, praise His name!
So as you eat these candies,

or share them with your friends,
remember the meaning of Christmas.

It’s a love story that never ends.

Tooo cute! Love these! What a neat gift for a secret santa exchange or just a simple small gift to someone who loves M & M’s. I love the story, where did you find it about the M & M’s I’ve never heard it before! Keep creatin’ these fun, easy, inexpensive, but oh so neat projects!
Stampin’ Smiles from Ear to Ear,
    Ann 🙂
