This is the New Good Morning Magnolia stamp set from Stampin’ Up!
You have probably been seeing many different cards being created with the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set. It is a very popular suite from the New Stampin’ Up! catalog. There are many different ways to color in the stamped images in this set. I went in a different direction and choose to do a little paper piecing using the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper.
Tonight is Tuesday’s Tips and Techniques on my Facebook page. Join me tonight on my Facebook page at 8:00PM EST where I will show you how to create this quick and easy Good Morning Magnolia card.
I mentioned above that this is part of the Magnolia Lane Suite and the Designer Series Paper that I used is from the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper. Have you ever stamped directly on Designer Series Paper? This may be a new technique for you; so stop by tonight and check it out.

Can you tell which piece of Designer Series Paper I used from the Perennial Essence pack? Join me tonight and see for yourself.
Coloring in stamped images has never been my strong suite; I never like how my coloring turns out. The Blends have been helping me a lot with my coloring but sometimes I look for alternative ways to color or fill in an outline image.
I thought the shading and blend of this particular piece of Designer Series Paper was perfect for this piecing technique and for the Magnolia image.
The Petal Pink card stock matched the Designer Series Paper I used perfectly I thought. Also, the Magnolia Lane Ribbon combo pack has a spool of ribbon plus the Old Olive Twine; which is what I used to tie my bow and attached it with a mini glue dot.
The Pearl Jewels are my signature way to finish off the card; you will notice I use some sort of bling regularly. I just can’t seem to leave them off; it’s like my card is missing something without them.
