This is the Retired Best Catch stamp set; the perfect card for Father’s Day. This was one of the cards I created at the Retreat I went to in Texas in February.

I have to admit the fish wasn’t colored by me but by Cindy Bristow. She was teaching me how to watercolor with the blends. She did a fantastic job coloring the fish.
The grass and cattails are part of the Catch of the Day die set; which coordinates with the Best Catch stamp set. The cattails were die cut out twice; once with Old Olive card stock and again with Early Espresso card stock. Then the Early Espresso cattails were glued into place.
The netting is part of the Sea of Textures stamp set; which is also on the retired list. This was stamped twice and the fish was placed where the netting met. What a great pairing of stamp sets.
A few sequins for accents and the card is complete.

Hi Patricia, Watercoloring has never been my technique of choice. I have colored in many of my videos and I am by no means an expert on Watercoloring. If you subscribe to my YouTube Channel “The Stamp Camp” you will find many videos of different techniques that I have done with watercoloring the images. I’ll keep practicing and will eventually do a video. Thanks for the suggestion and I will pursue it. Make sure to subscribe to my blog as well to get daily inspiration and ideas.
