This week’s question of the week is: What is Heat and Stick Powder and How do you Use Heat and Stick Powder? I’ll show you Heat & Stick techniques that you can do with products you may already have on hand.

This first card features the Art Gallery stamp set which has a two step stamp in the set. A two step stamp set makes it super easy to create a beautiful card using the Heat & Stick and the Gilded Leafing. You will notice there is a bit of gold leafing around the outside edge of the flower image cardstock. I’ll show you how that was done as well as the gilded leafing on the flower itself.
I used the beautiful Go To Greetings for the sentiment on this card and it is hard to see but I embossed it using the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder.
There is also a piece of the Distressed Gold paper under the real red cardstock layer. The Distressed Gold paper is currently not available to order; it is set to be back in stock around January 9, 2023. You could substitute with the gold foil sheets instead and get a similar look.
You may notice the flowers on this card are from a technique I showed you with the ink refills. This is a faux polished stone technique and if you missed that question of the week on what you can do with ink refills you can view all the details HERE.
I added a bit of gold to the faux polished stone using the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder, the Versamark ink pad, and the gilded leafing. I then punched out the flowers using the medium Daisy Punch and the leaves are from the Bough Punch.
The sentiment is from the Lovely & Lasting stamp set and that gorgeous oval die cut is from the Framed Florets dies.
I also used the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder on the Highland Heather cardstock as well.
It doesn’t look it but I used the Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper for this card. I also used the Whimsical Woodland 3D Embossing Folder with the Heat and Stick Powder and Gilded Leafing. You will want to watch the magic when creating this card! I have some great tips for using the heat and stick and gilded leafing.
The tag was die cut using the Designer Tags dies and the sentiment is from the Framed and Festive stamp set. This card is so cute don’t you think? I used the Christmas Scottie stamp set and the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks for this Heat and Stick technique pdf. On this card I used Evening Evergreen but during the class I will be using Night of Navy; just wanted to switch things up. I bet you didn’t think there were so many different ways to answer the question; How to use heat and stick powder from Stampin’ Up!

This is the final card using Heat and Stick powder and it also features a retired product. I brought in the Dazzling Diamonds Glitter for this fun technique. I wish you could see this card in person as it is so glittery and sparkles so pretty. I used the Peace to You stamp set and the Scalloped Contour Dies with the Stylish Shapes Dies as well. I will also tell you that the Stylish Shapes Dies are not available to order at this time. They are expected to be back into the warehouse around January 30, 2023.
