Did you ever create an accordion fold card that you just couldn’t stop creating? I had a hard time knowing when enough was enough with today’s fun fold card. I also did a video tutorial so you can see just how easy these cards come together. Do you know how to do an accordion fold? I’ve created an accordion fun fold card 2023 before but I’m not sure it was done like this one. If you love Designer Series Paper that has a scene to it or a beautiful flower pattern that you just don’t want to cut up this is the card for you! You get to see both sides of the print and the scene just flows as you open up the card. Like I said I couldn’t stop so I have quite a few cards to show you today.
This first card was the card I created in the video. Catch the replay on my YouTube Channel “The Stamp Camp”.
The print on this card is from the Sun Prints Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up! This is one of those prints that just flows and you really don’t want to chop it up. It also has a coordinating bundle that I used on the card as well. The bundle is the Nature’s Prints Bundle from the annual catalog.
As the card unfolds you get the full scene of the paper.
On this particular card I did add a sentiment on the inside but I also stamped an image on the backside where you could stamp a greeting or hand write a greeting if you like.
The sister print to the Sun Prints paper pack is the Pretty Prints from the annual catalog and I used the Nature’s Prints Bundle with this one as well.
This print is the Very Vanilla and Calypso Coral tones and I used the Scalloped Contour Dies on both of these cards. I actually used these dies a lot as I think they go perfect with this fun fold technique.
On this one I decided not to put a sentiment on the inside but you have plenty of room on the backside to stamp or write a message or greeting.
Sale-a-bration Free Paper Accordion Fold Card:
When I looked at my free Sale-a-bration Day At the Farm paper and saw the farm yard scene I knew right away I had to make an accordion fun fold card with it. The flowers on the card front were actually hand cut from the corner of the paper and I thought they tied all the colors of the paper together perfectly.
When you open up the card all the way you see the full scene of the farm going on. The paper cut perfectly in half so you got the barn with the fields, clouds and even the windmill. I didn’t want to take away from the scene with my sentiment so I added a piece of Basic White to the backside and another little strip of the farm scene.
I bet you are wanted to make a purchase so you can get this paper pack for free? I’ll have the complete list of supplies for all my accordion fold cards down below in the is blog post.
I couldn’t resist using my Stamp Camp At Home Card Club Favored Flowers paper and the Fragrant Flowers bundle. This paper pack is another FREE Sale-a-bration paper you can choose with a min. $50.00 order is placed; or if you are part of my Club you received or will be receiving a 1/2 a pack of this paper with this month’s card kit. Haven’t heard of my card club yet? Click HERE for all the details.
I decided not to attach a sentiment or spot for one on the inside of this card but instead added a piece of basic white to the backside and added a flower that I die cut from the paper pack. Yes, the bundle has dies that match the paper so you can die cut some of the flower images from the prints.
Another FREE Sale-a-bration paper pack is the Enjoy the Journey; this pack was added at the beginning of February. Stampin’ Up! came out in February with a whole list of items from the mini and the annual catalog that you can get during Sale-a-bration with a min. $50 or $100 order. You can find that list HERE.
I thought this paper and the coordinating Greatest Journey Bundle would make perfect cards for Graduation cards. It isn’t really too early to start thinking about Graduation cards and this particular bundle and paper won’t be around come Graduation time. I like the sentiments in the bundle for graduates. On the front of this card it reads, “You Belong Among The Stars”.
On this card I did stamp on the inside as I think it had the perfect spot to stamp on it. You could also write or stamp on the backside of the card as well; but I liked the sentiment inside on this one. This inside sentiment reads, “Wishing You Joy in this next Adventure”.
More Annual Catalog Papers with the Accordion Fun Card Technique:
I couldn’t not use the He’s the Man designer series paper. This paper pack is perfect for teens as well. I know my son Dean would love this card with it’s classic cars. The perfect birthday card for someone turning 16 and getting their drivers license. When you open it up it gives you a full look at all the cool cars.
I also added a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock on the inside for writing or stamping your greeting, plus a little strip of the reverse side of the paper so you get a glimpse of that as well.
Finally the last card is from the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper pack; which is one of my all time favorite packs. I’ve done many different fun fold cards and used it in classes and clubs as well. What’s nice is that it is in the annual catalog so no worries about it running out until the annual catalog retiring list comes out.
The sentiment on the front is from the coordinating Happiness Abounds bundle and I also used the dies to die cut out the flower and leaves from one of the prints in the pack. A few Milky Dots from the Mini Catalog to finish off the front.
Another die cut flower for the inside on a piece of Basic White cardstock to finish it off.
