Did you catch my Thursday night One Sheet Wonder cards featuring the Joy of Christmas designer series paper and the Christmas Classics and Joy of Noel bundles? If you missed them no worries I’ll catch you up today in this blog post. Last night’s class was very special to me as I have finally hit my 10,000 subscribers on my YouTube Channel “The Stamp Camp”. I would love to hit that on by blog as well but that dream is for another day. I was over the moon excited when I saw that number 10,001 finally after 13 years of uploading videos to my YouTube Channel. My very first video was uploaded on March 29, 2010! Actually I still remember doing that video; my hands were shaking and If I remember right I think I started and stopped recording about 3 times before I actually called it good enough. If you remember back in the day my cameraman was my youngest son Dean. I wasn’t even live it was just a recording but still I was nervous. To help celebrate my goal I gave away my Mono-adhesive glue holder and the little tool caddy that I create with my 3D printer. It was a fun night and I even got Bill to help me out. You will find the video down below in this post.
Last night’s one sheet wonder cards turned out gorgeous in my book; fourteen simply beautiful cards 12 of them are fun fold cards and with the left over strip 2 more gorgeous cards. With the Joy of Christmas designer series paper and the Joyful Specialty Designer Series Paper I’m not sure if you could create an ugly card. Don’t get me started on those beautiful intricate dies from the Christmas Classics bundle. The layout for all the cards except the last 2 is the exact same layout but I changed the sentiment piece on each of the cards so you can see just by changing up the sentiment pieces you can get a whole new look. You will find each of the cards below in this article so you can see them up close and decide which you like best.
Let’s take a look at these 14 One Sheet Wonder Christmas Cards:
These were cards #1. Like I said before these first 12 were all fun fold cards and I used the Nested Essentials Dies to create from front flap flip up and the the bottom of the card flips down. For this card I used the Noel die from the Joy of Noel bundle and the holly leaves and berries are from the Christmas Classics bundle. I did do a bit of stamping on this card but it is mainly dies. I stamped the holly leaves before die cutting them out. To accent these two, I just added a gold bow from the Simply Elegant Trim and added some Gold Festive Pearls.
For these two cards I did more stamping. The Noel was stamped onto basic white using Real Red ink and then die cut out with the Noel die. The holly leaves were stamped directly onto the basic white cardstock piece and then colored with the Shaded Spruce blend. The berries were die cut from Real Red cardstock; which I attached a piece of adhesive sheet behind it before die cutting.
So, for these two cards I die cut my Noel out of gold foil and stamped a sentiment in the corner on the basic white cardstock piece. Again, I used the Gold festive pearls to accent the sentiment as well as the Noel piece.
For this set of cards, I brought in the Joyful Specialty Designer Series Paper; which is part of the Christmas Classics suite of products. The papers in this pack all have a gold foiling running through the prints making it just stunning. To bring out the gold foiling in the paper I added the gold foil die cut pieces and the gold elegant trim. I also added the Real Red pearls to the gold foil die cut pieces and gold pearls to the Noel piece. As I said last night you can probably come up with lots more combinations of die cuts, stamps, and color combinations to create these cards. Trust me once you get started you begin thinking oh I think this combination might look pretty or this and this and it just snowballs.
For these two cards I stamped the Holly swag image onto my nested essentials die cut piece and then colored it in with the blends. The blends I used were Shaded Spruce and Real Red. I used the light and dark Shaded Spruce to get the two different tones of green. The sentiment was stamped in the upper left-hand corner of the inside piece. As you can see I decided to give you options with this card with the Real Red card base and then showing it again in the Shaded Spruce card base. When you can’t decide you do it in both colors.
These are the final two cards of the 12 fun fold cards with 2 more to come. I combined all the elements that I liked best, the swap image colored in with the blends and the gorgeous plaid Joyful Specialty Designer Series Paper with the gold foil Noel die cut pieces. Of course the gold trim to accent the swap piece with the gold festive pears. What combination do you like best?
Here are the final two cards. These two cards were created with the left over strips. I say strips because I used the strip that was cut off the card base and used that on the cards as well as the left over strip cut from the designer series paper. As I said when I started this post the Christmas Classics bundle has these two intricate gorgeous die cut pieces in the bundle. Just a simple strip on the card front and these gorgeous dies will give you a quick and easy Christmas card in no time. I could have created a pile of cards by just using strips and these die cuts but I’ve already done that before so I won’t bore you with that. The Christmas Classics Bundle and the Joy of Noel Bundle are the perfect pairing of Christmas bundles in my opinion.
