Today’s Christmas cards are featuring the Handcrafted Elements Dies from the Mini catalog. (NOTE: The handcrafted elements dies are on the retired list and 10% off as well. These babies won’t last long, remember retired items are while supplies last.) You may have missed these as they were a bit hidden on page 21. These beautiful dies make cards for this holiday season a breeze and so pretty as well. I have a tip for you regarding this die; use the adhesive sheets and adhering the pieces to your card front is super easy. Actually, I like to do this with all intricate dies as I know I won’t have a mess with liquid glue and makes adhering to my projects quick and easy.
These cards give the look and feel of handcrafted ornaments and with the sparkle of the silver glitter paper they are so pretty in person. The silver glitter paper was an online exclusive a few months back and sold out almost as fast as it went online. It was sold in a pack with gold and the backside already had the adhesive sheet on it. I’m hoping in the future all the glitter and glimmer papers come with adhesive backing.
I don’t know about you, but I love Night of Navy, White and Silver together and when the silver is sparkly all the better in my book. Wouldn’t you agree these Christmas cards are just stunning? Well, I’m not going to lie the silver in the center of the navy ornament screams the batman symbol to me. Still a very pretty card, but I decided to give it a try in another version, so I switched things up for card #2.
Both cards used the same products I just mixed them up a bit. On this card the background is Night of Navy and both cards were embossed with the 3D Snowflake Sky embossing folder. Note: This embossing folder is sold out at the moment but is expected back into the warehouse the week of December 18.
The sentiment piece on both cards is from the online exclusive Horse & Sleigh stamp set and die cut out with the banner die from the Stylish Shapes dies. The scalloped border on both cards is from the Scalloped Contour dies.
Maybe I should have created another one with the Night of Navy in the center of the ornament? So many options using all the same products.
The silver bows were created using the Simply Elegant silver trim, which by the way is not available at the moment. It is expected back into the Stampin’ Up! warehouse the week of January 1st.
Those beautiful silver pearls are from the Festive Pearls pack and add the perfect accent to these cards; don’t you agree?
