Check Out These Easy Embossing Folder Ideas With White Core Paper

easy embossing folder techniques for your christmas cards

I hope that you were able to tune in to last night’s video on my YouTube Channel to see today’s technique. I love this Christmas card and was really excited on how it all turned out.

Last night I showed how to create this stunning background, and you can too with my easy embossing folder Ideas and the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper.   Yes, you read that right, this background paper is from the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper pack.  It is the reverse side of the print with the flowers.

I embossed the sky like blue side of the Winter Meadow paper using the Snowflake 3D Embossing Folder.   After I embossed the piece I took a sanding block, any fine sandpaper will do, and lightly sanded the raised embossed images.  The designer paper has a white core so when you sand off the top layer the white core shows through to the top.

Doesn’t this look like a pretty night sky with all the sparkling snowflakes?  Maybe it is just me, but this paper is perfect for this technique.  Plus, I love good easy embossing folder ideas that can work with so many papers and prints.

The sentiment and snowflake stamp all come from the Sparkling Snowflakes stamp set and I used the Stylish Shapes dies to cut out my circles and the banner under the circle.

I used the Blueberry Bushel ink on my snowflake and sentiment and the card base is Blueberry Bushel as well.

Next week I’ll show you another Christmas card I created using the new Two Tone 12 X 12 designer series paper from our new Scrapbooking line of products.  You can do this easy embossing folder techniques with any cardstock that has a white core to it.

To add more sparkle to this Christmas card I added some of the Rhinestones, to the snowflake and the sentiment pieces.  Really a quick and easy Christmas card with stunning results in no time.
