Create clean and simple handmade cards using the Handcrafted Elements dies for simply stunning Sympathy cards. We all hate making this type of card, but we all need them from time to time. I actually need two sympathy cards this week and why not make them sparkle and beautiful, hoping to at least comfort them and show my love and support.
After creating Monday’s Christmas cards with these Handcrafted Elements dies I thought why not use these intricate dies for my Sympathy cards as well. The gold glitter paper I used already had the adhesive backing on it so it was super quick and easy to assemble and put it together. This paper is SOLD OUT and no longer available, but you could substitute with the More Dazzle Specialty Paper and add the adhesive sheet to the backside before die cutting and punching.
I think my biggest question when making these cards was to decide what color I wanted to add my die cut to. I went with the Shaded Spruce as the intricate die is a couple different leaves so green came to mind right away. At first I put it on the Garden Green cardstock, but that was a bit to dull in my book so decided Shaded Spruce had just the right amount of brightness I was going for.
For the sentiment piece I used the Very Best Occasions stamp set and stamped it onto Very Vanilla cardstock and punched it out with the Ovals punch. I used the scalloped portion of the punch to punch the gold glitter oval piece behind the sentiment.
The ribbon is from the annual catalog and that is the Gold and Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon. After looking the card over I decided to add a few of the gold festive pearls. I didn’t take a photo of that before mailing it out. The cards were pretty either way, but I do like a little bit of bling.
Keep in mind that the Handcrafted Elements Dies are on the retired list and only available while supplies last and they are 10% off now as well.
