Today is the sketch challenge at the Paper Craft Crew.
Here is the sketch for this week:
Here is my take on the sketch:
This sketch was a bit tricky but I think it turned out pretty cute. I’ve had people ask me how I come up with my card when I have a sketch.
The first thing I look at when looking at the sketches is the main element of the sketch. In this case it was the tag and then the 3 little circles.
First the tag, do I want an image or words? Second the 3 little circles? What image or images do I have that could be that little.
The 3 little Christmas trees are from a retired set but the coordinating punches are on the Carry Over list. The punch is from the Merry Minis Punch Pack #126882 $16.95.
Once I decided on my trees I then decided to go with words for my tag. I used the Deck the Halls from the Christmas Messages stamp set #131790 $28.95 or #131793 $20.95.
The Designer Series Paper is from the Season of Style Paper Stack #132181 $6.95.
The tag was created with a super cool new punch coming in the next catalog. It is called the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.
I used the Chevron Border Punch #132154 $21.95 to create the 3 little Gumball Green Chevron pieces.
I colored the tiniest pearls with a burgundy sharpie marker for my little tree ornaments.
