Eight Stunning One Sheet Wonder Fun Fold Birthday Cards

Are you looking for quick and easy fun fold birthday cards? Well with last night’s One Sheet Wonder class I have you covered. I’ll show you how to create 8 stunning cards for your upcoming birthday celebrations.  These simple fun fold cards can be created for any occasion, just by changing up the paper prints and sentiments.  Everyone loves a good fun fold and different way of opening a card.

These cards were created using the Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper which is part of my Stamp Camp At Home Card Club Kit for this month.  Club members will find the downloadable project sheet as well as the One Sheet Wonder pattern in the photo gallery here on my blog.  This is just one of the perks of being in my card club.  Club members receive bonus PDF files, project sheets, video tutorials, and one sheet wonder patterns throughout the month.  If you are not familiar with my card club you can find all the details here.

Now let’s take a look at each of last night’s Birthday Cards:

Each one of the cards is cut, scored, and folded the exact same way, so if you really like one color combination or sentiment piece better than the rest you can create all 8 of your cards the same way.  I like to change things up for each card, so you can decide which is your favorite and go from there.  I’m sure you probably have more color layouts and ideas than what I showed last night, but you have a start at least.

For the first card I went with the Summer Splash cardstock and accented the sentiment piece with a piece of the Petunia Pop ribbon.  This whole designer series paper pack is designed around the new In Colors and I used two of those on my cards last night.

For the Happy Birthday sentiment and the die cut pieces I used the coordinating Unbounded Love bundle, which is part of the Unbounded Beauty Suite.

For the second card I went with the die cuts from the Wanted to Say dies and used the Summer Splash Glimmer paper as the background to the words.  I attached a piece of adhesive sheet behind a piece of Basic White cardstock before die cutting, so I could easily add it to the glimmer piece.

You will also notice on this card and the next that I raised the position of the “arm” mechanism to be higher on the card front.  You can put your “arm” anywhere you like on the front of your card.

If you love glimmer and shiny things you will absolutely love these birthday cards.  I know these will be my granddaughter’s favorite cards because they love the glimmer papers.

This card was created with the Wanted to Say dies as well and the “arm” mechanism on this card was created just a bit wider to accommodate the larger sentiment die cuts.  I also changed up the card base on this one and went with the Thick Basic White card base.  I think the bright white makes it a bit brighter card, what do you think?

For this card I went back to the thinner “arm” and used the celebrate die from the Wanted to Say dies and continued with the Thick Basic White base.  The 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems go perfectly with these cards and just adds a bit more shimmer to the cards.

This card was a combination of the Summer Splash card base, and I changed the glimmer paper to the Petunia Pop glimmer paper.  The sentiment die cut piece is just another framelit from the Unbounded Love bundle.  I think this rectangle die cut gives this card a whole different look and I think it would be great with a bit more masculine paper.

For this card I went with all Petunia Pop card stock, glimmer paper, ribbon, and ink.  If you know someone who loves pink or a purplish pink color this is the birthday card for them.   To be honest this card might be my favorite card of the whole bunch; but then I am a pink girl, and I love the little frilly scallop oval die cut piece.

This is another sample using that larger “arm” mechanism and the Happy Birthday die cut without the backing piece.  I probably should have created a bit wider arm as the Happy Birthday die cut didn’t fit just right.  Still a pretty card.

The final card of the night is another sparkler with the Celebrate die cut backed with the Petunia Pop Glimmer Paper.  Each one of the cards inside has either a little strip of the Unbounded Beauty designer series paper or was stamped with the coordinating Flowers of Beauty bundle.

This photo will help you see how these cards open.  They have a double opening, first the arm flips out and then the top flips up.   The sentiment on the inside of this card is from the Unbounded Love bundle as is the die cut piece.

For this one I used a piece of the designer series paper to coordinate with the front of the card.  You can either hand write or stamp a sentiment on the inside of the cards, the choice is yours.

These cards would also make some great birthday party invitations as well; wouldn’t you agree?  I’m sure my granddaughters would love these cards for their party invitations and the bonus for me is they are quick and easy, and I can get 8 cards from one 12 X 12 sheet of the designer series paper.
