Faux Paint Chip

Tuesday, December 13, 2011

Yesterday was my Techie class and one of the techniques they learned was the Faux Paint Chip technique.

This is a pretty simple technique and can be done in many different color combinations. I chose to use Bashful Blue, Marina Mist, and Not Quite Navy. You want to choose 3 or 4 pieces of card stock in the same color just varying the shades. Mount these to a strip of White card stock that is cut 1/4″ longer but the same height as your strips. Attach your cut pieces to the White card stock leaving an 1/8″ between each piece. Stamp and emboss your image over the top of the strips. You can mount this piece to an additional coordinating card stock color if desired.

I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial and will give this technique a try.

Thanks for stopping by and if you wish to purchase anything for Christmas gifts you have until tomorrow to get it ordered and in time for Christmas. You can order at my Stampin’ Up! website: www.gcalkins.stampinup.net or click HERE to place your order.
