Festive Friday Video

Friday, December 17, 2010

Today’s Festive Friday video is a Desktop Calendar.  This is a quick and easy project that will be used all thru the year.   I used the Season of Friendship stamp set for this project, I think it is the perfect set for this project.

This is the first side of the desk calendar it has Jan. Feb. and March on this side.   I used Shimmer white card stock for this one.  I first stamped the tree, then I used Versamark and stamped the snowflakes embossing them with Iridescent Ice embossing powder.  I then brayered Bashful blue ink over the top for this wintery scene.

This is on the backside; this is April, May, June.

This is on the inside behind the first set of months.  This is July, Aug, and September.

This is on the opposite side inside.  This is Oct. Nov. and December.

Each month has the phrase (that is included in the stamp set) “The season of friendship lasts forever”.  Every stamp used on this desk calendar are in the “Season of Friendship” stamp set #111776 $23.95.  Each month has a coordinating Glimmer Brad to accent the phrase and add some bling to the calendars. 🙂

The dimensions to this project are:
Base – 5 1/4″ X 10 1/2″ folded in half so your finished size is 5 1/4″ X 5 1/4″.  This will fit inside our Square envelopes.
Designer Series paper – 5″ X 5″
Black card stock – 4 3/4″ X 4 3/4″
White where trees are stamped 2 7/8″ X 4 5/8″
16″ of ribbon

To print the Calendar go to www.printfree.com and click on Printable 2011 calendars; right click on the calendar that comes up and do a print preview then click 80% and print.  This will give you the size you need.

Now on to the Video:

Now hop on over to my friend France’s blog and watch her video for today on how to make a super cute Window Box for Christmas ornaments.

Have a Great Day!
