So yesterday my sister and her family were out to the cottage and it was my nephew’s birthday. Yikes totally forgot to send the card, okay so I hadn’t even made it yet. Quick look through the Holiday catalog stash I brought along anything birthday for a 14 year old boy?
Hmmm not much, but I think I can work with the new “Four Feathers” stamp set.
Here is what I cam up with:
Hmmm I don’t have an envelope Oh well he won’t care, stuff a check inside and here you go!
I also didn’t have the coordinating “Feathers Framelits Dies” which would have made cutting out the feathers a breeze but hand cutting wasn’t too bad.
The buttons are new to the catalog and they are the “Nordic Designer Buttons”.
The “Happy Birthday” sentiment is from the new “Making Spirits Bright” stamp set also in the Holiday catalog.
So you see you can make a quick card on short notice with limited supplies and I think it turned out great. Yes, maybe feathers for a 14 year old boy wouldn’t be my first choice but he didn’t care about the card anyway just the check inside. LOL
I bet you are wondering what card will come next on my limited supplies; well that makes two of us. 🙂
