Layering Leaves Fall Themed Card With Embossing Folder Techniques

Today I have another Fall Themed card to share with you featuring the Layering Leaves Bundle and the Carved Wood Background embossing folder techniques.   This embossing folder technique is an older technique, in fact I did a video on this technique 4 years ago and I have it posted at the bottom of this blog post. This might be a new technique for you if you are new to stamping or if you have been stamping for a while this embossing technique might bring back memories.

Today’s card sample uses the Timber 3D embossing folder and the following ink colors:   Gray Granite, Cajun Craze and Early Espresso.  Remember you will get a different look each time you do this technique depending on the amount of ink you add and the ink colors.

Fall is definitely in the air here in Michigan with all the colors changing or already done, this card is sure to bring back those memories.  This fall themed card uses the Changing Leaves Bundle and fun embossing folder techniques.  This bundle not only has the stamps, dies, but a hybrid embossing folder ,so you can die cut and emboss the leaves and background all at the same time.  The colors I chose for my Fall colors are: Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, and Mossy Meadow.

The die cut sentiment piece is from the Changing Leaves bundle and the accents are the Faux Glass Dots.  I little bit of the Essentials twine and the card is complete.

To get the “faux carved wood” you just use your scoring blade to make planks in the embossed piece of cardstock.  It is super easy and each piece will look different depending on the inks you use and the amount of ink colors you use.
