How would you like to create four gorgeous One Sheet Wonder cards using the Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper? If you said, yes, I’ve got you covered with today’s blog post. If you were able to join me last night on my YouTube channel, then you probably watched me create these four cards using just one sheet of the Lovely Garden paper. If you missed it, no worries as I’ve added the video below in this blog post.
The Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper is right up my alley as I love the pinks, blues, black and white together. The paper is so vibrant and just beautiful, and the backsides of the prints are all black and white, which gives you many options for using these prints with different one sheet wonder patterns.
This first card uses a majority of the 12 x 12 sheet, but with the remaining left-over pieces I managed to get 3 more cards from the print. The flower bouquets on the remaining cards were hand-cut from another piece of the Lovely Garden paper pack. This card is a fun fold card and is really stunning in person. It has multiple sides to it and every side is just as beautiful as the next.
This is the backside with a bit of room to write or stamp your greeting. If you are looking for the perfect wedding card, I think this is a winner. The dies that were used to cut out the window on the card front and this piece for the backside are all from the Countryside Corners dies, which are on the last chance list and On Sale! Remember last chance items are while supplies last and once they are gone, they will not be restocked. You might just want to grab these dies before they are gone for good.
This Z-fold Book Binding card was created with some of the left-over pieces. I also wanted to make this card a fun fold birthday card, so I pulled out my Simply Said stamp set which has a variety of sentiments and is the perfect stamp set to have in your collection.
You can see how this card z-folds and has a spot on the inside to write or stamp your greeting. To fill in the space above the birthday sentiment I added a row of the white Starburst Sequins. I could have stamped my greeting more in the middle, but I cut my designer series paper wrong, so my Lovely Garden print was smaller than I had envisioned, no problem though I think all the cards turned out nicely anyways.
This card uses the Countryside Corners die cut from my very first fun fold card. I had the left-over cut out section from the card front and had to use it on another card, so I created a larger black mat and added it to my card front. I flipped the print over to reveal the black and white crosshatch side of the paper. I then added a bouquet of flowers that I hand-cut from the paper.
The Basic White background cardstock piece was embossed with the Exposed Brick embossing folder.
The final piece of the night was this 3 x 3 square, which I added to a piece of basic black cardstock and popped it up onto the card front. The background basic white cardstock was embossed with the exposed brick embossing folder as well. I also went with the pink starburst sequins on the last two cards.
For the insides on the final two cards, I added a piece of the lovely garden print and on the other one I hand-cut another bouquet from the paper pack. I did end up with two very tiny pieces of the print, but I’m comfortable in throwing those last little bits away. I think I did a pretty good job of using up that 12 x 12 sheet, don’t you think so too?
Without really having much of an idea how these cards were going to turn out, I think they are all lovely cards, and I’m pleased with the results.
The Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper is part of my Stamp Camp at Home Card Club Kit for this month, so that means club members will find all the measurements and the Pattern for last night’s cards in the photo gallery here on my blog.
