Did you happen to catch last night’s One Sheet Wonder video using the Season of Green & Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper. This is my featured paper pack for my November Stamp Camp at Home Card Club Kit, and it is beautiful paper with a bit of gold foiling running through it; so pretty!
Club members will find the download project sheet for these cards in the photo gallery on my blog. If you would like to know more about my Stamp Camp at Home Card Club, you can view all the details HERE.
When it comes to Christmas cards and creating quick and easy cards when you need a pile, this one sheet wonder layout is the easiest and quickest to create. Not only are these cards quick, but this paper is so pretty you can’t help but make beautiful cards in a flash.
Let’s take a closer look at each of these nine Christmas cards and I also have the bonus card to show this layout in another gorgeous print from the pack.
There are eight cards with this exact same layout, the only difference is the sentiment pieces. I created a different sentiment piece for each card so you can see all the possibilities that there are with the dies, color combinations, etc. The dies and the sentiments are from the coordinating Greetings of the Seasons Bundle, which is part of the Season of Green & Gold product suite.
Check out that new Gold Twisted Thread, will you! I love how this thread ties and how it shimmers. This thread is an online exclusive item so you will not find it in the catalogs, it is only available online. Here is the item #164603 $7.50, so you can order some for yourself and see how pretty this is.
Those Gold Textured Adhesive-Backed Dots are from the mini catalog, and they go perfectly with this paper pack.
For this card sentiment piece, I used the gold foil and die cut it with the Greetings of the Season die. I embossed the Mossy Meadow sentiment piece using Versamark and Gold Embossing Powder.
For this card I just embossed a Mossy Meadow die cut piece and added the Pearl dots keeping this card more monochromatic.
For the fourth card I stamped on Very Vanilla using the Mossy Meadow ink and die cut with the Greetings of the Seasons dies and attach to a Mossy Meadow die cut. At first glance I wasn’t sure if I would like the Mossy Meadow die cut piece on the Mossy Meadow background piece, but with the Very Vanilla die cut I think it works.
So, this is pretty much the same as card #4 except I added my sentiment die cut to a gold foil die cut. I like how this brings out more of the gold in the dots and the gold thread, giving it a whole different look.
Card #6 is also similar, but this time I embossed a piece of Old Olive with gold embossing powder and die cut out. I think I like the Very Vanilla on the gold better than the Old Olive, what do you think?
Card #7 is really keeping with the Monochromatic feel with the sentiment pieces being Old Olive and Mossy Meadow, with just a little pop of gold from the thread and the dots.
Finally, card #8 to finish off this particular layout. This card feels very simplistic with the Very Vanilla die cut and the Mossy Meadow sentiment. This card is much quicker to create than the rest as you do not have to emboss. I also choose to use the Pearl berries, which when the light hits them just right, they look to have a red in them.
This was the final card of the night, which used those two left-over strips. Now in the video I showed you a variation that you could do with the strips so you would end up with two more cards for a total of 10 cards, but I combined both strips onto this one card, which gives you nine cards from just one 12 X 12 sheet.
I was pleasantly surprised at how pretty this card turned out to be. I love the gold strip across the center with the gold sentiment piece.
Now for the Bonus Christmas Card:
Well, this really isn’t a bonus card, it was just my prototype for my nine cards created from the 12 X 12 sheet. For this card I added a strip of the gold foil across the bottom edge. This adds a whole lot more cutting, and supplies needed than my set of nine cards. This is a very pretty card as well, but I wanted to use another print from the paper pack for my One Sheet Wonder, as I had already used this print a few weeks ago.
There you have it nine gorgeous Christmas cards from just one 12 X 12 sheet of the Season of Green & Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper. Which sentiment piece was your favorite?
